Better Intake For Leganza??

Post by Jesse18873 »

Has anyone made a pretty good setup of a intake? I have a custom right now but I just don't like it and want a new one. Would someone share their ideas??

I was thinking the exact same thing...

Hey jesse can you get a birds eye picture of the area behind the passenger side headlight?
It looks like it will fit but I can't find a good picture. The BMS CAI dubs as a short ram and I'm almost sure that part would fit.

Hmm. I think it would fit. Worst case is you might have to cut some of that metal with the hole it in or play with the intake as far as the rubber peices go. It looks like to me that the filter would sit just under that whole which would make a great heat shield.

The CAI is $219 + shipping and is available in blue or black. We currently only have one black one left untill the first week of April, after that I'm not sure if black will be available anymore. You can use AEMS water bypass with it or use it as a short ram too. There really isn't any room to improve this intake...they've done allot of testing to find the perfect setup.

That bms does look pretty sweet. And are both around the same price range? And the Weapon R, What does that look like installed??

I'm really not sure but the weapon R is cheaper...probbaly in the $180 range at least for the forenza/reno but I bet it's the same part number. It's aluminum but I promise you the BMS CAI perform much better and has better response.

i changed my inatke and exhaust and it was pretty much pointless no noticable performance increase

i also changed my parents hondas intake to a custom short ram and no noticable performance increase but a deeper exhaust note

thats why ive turboed the car now there should be a noticable performance increase :)
