not as much as you think. the 1.6 harness is the best. the engine harnes in the lanos completely unplugs from the car before going through the firewall. if you could use the 1.6 then you don't have to get into the wiring inside the car. the harness is also a lot longer in the lanos since the computer is mounted under the left side seat where as the rest are mounted to the kick pannel. you will most likely need to extend every wire in the leganza/nubira harness to use it in a lanos.

nope, lanos computer in the 1.5 is in the same spot as the leganza (right side kick panel)
only difference I can see between the two looms is:
i) the connector at the firewall to unplug the harness
ii) the fuel and ignition relays

and of course the addition of EGR and knock sensor

yeah I know...

I had another look and the fuel relay is in the fuse box... so it's just ignition relay (why is there even a relay for the ignition?!)
I just cross referenced my look with the wiring diagrams and in the lanos instead of a fuel pump relay and ignition relay it's just the fuel pump relay... weird

I'm going to have fun with this one, lol

Nearly all the Canadian Lanos were 1.5L SOHC, I would assume they are the same as the australian ones.

I may have an extra 1.5L harness ( among others ) I can send you if you want.

we did a swap on a nubira replacing an A16DMS with a T20SED and we didn't replace the OEM wiring harness... we used the MAP sensor that is installed on the firewall instead of the one on the 2.0 engine's manifold because the sockets are different on both sensors

for the projected swap there is another difference that might come up if one engine uses pneumatic EGR valve and the other uses electric EGR... this will lead to socket differences as well

that would be good. perhaps you can even tell me. (except for length) is the short section between the computer and engine harness the same? could the shorter 1.5 section be used with the 1.6 computer and engine loom? I think i'd rather have the computer mounted to the kick pannel than under the seat. ...perhaps even under the hood rather then under the seat.

yeah, all in all good.
A couple of the holes were out and needed to be drilled and where the short bolt goes into the power steering pump, that hole was off by 5mm (I didn't really feel like drilling that much out so i just left the bolt out)

also, one of the power steering pump bolts you supplied was way too low in tensile strength (7 instead of 10) and it snapped off in the power steering pump.

The alternator bracket was also REALLY TIGHT and had to be persuaded to fit the top support was about 1cm too short...


Other than that, it wouldn't be in without the brackets and mount

just a note, with the last picture of the alternator, to get it to fit, I did take the stock bracket (bottom left of the pic) off after the picture was taken
