i have stock pistons and rods, sure water injection helps you to raise boost, how ever witout water injection and 8v head i run at 13.6 5 months ago!mr_g wrote:What pistons and rods does you have?Efrain A. wrote:in the spanish section he posted that he got 290whp! stock internals!
It's pretty interesting to get that power on the stock pistons?
Probably a water injection helped...
dis u see my vids???

One video is removed?!
I was asking what pistons and conrods you have, because I have fried one piston already on lower boost on pistons that are made for turbos... And you want to say you are putting all that boost on stock 1.6 16V A16DM pistons?! That is the puzzle to me... How can you do that without frying them... Probably the water injection helped cool down the piston heads... Or you have forged pistons and conrods?
With some forged pistons and conrods and ARP screws and some GT30 or similar, 2.0 litre engine is capable of doing 600HP... With water and oil cooling over 600Hp... But on stock pistons and conrods, C20LET can do max of the max 400HP on water...
BTW, do you have you car presented in the members garage?
What is the weight of the car on that video and what tires do you have?
In the fact you have 1.6 16V daewoo e-tec engine (A16DM) with lower stroke... The bore is the same, only shorter stroke... That engine block and the head is the same one I had stock in my daewoo lanos sport 1.6 16V.. Only the crankshaft and conrods are different (from 1.5 litre engine)...nexia182 wrote:im talking about 290 hp at the wheels!!!!!!!!
i get almost 300hp with an excellent preparation of the engine and also programable ecu, remeber my engine is a G15MF from opel Kadett E (astra mk2), is a very powerfull engine, and im using a 16v head from ecotec gsi engine 1.6L.
bigger its not better always................

I have a lanos 1.5L 8v also, but its not the same faster as my nexia when it was stock, maybe the ecu is different, i dont know but i think there are some differences between the G15MF (Nexia) and A15SMS (lanos )blocks, apparently are the same but the G15MF is faster than A15SMS i said it because i have both cars. maybe the difference is the ecu!!!
in the other hand my pistons and rods are stock, your friend can use the stock engine maybe with 17 psi and it doesn´t matter, i run like that at 13.6 seconds with 8v head.

i´m using stock pistons from 1.5 8v beacuse the compression ratio is lower (8.6.1) than stock 1.5 16v (9.5.1).mr_g wrote:Wait a minute... It's the same stroke, but different bore... OK. I tought otherwise...
So, at the end, what pistons did you use? If you put a little bigger head from 1.6 16V?
And what about static compression ratio?
What about traction? What tires do you ride?
the compression ratio is 7.5.1 using a metallic gasket.
at the dragway im using drag slicks M&H rece masters tires, and in the street im using nexxen 205/45/17 radials
