yes all of the cars with the steel pan have the windage ans part of the gasket which means if the woo dealer wants to charge you up the... then you can go to Advance Auto or something and get one from the sunbird, lemans, grand am...
when you get into building the T20 then go with the VW main studs that i posted about. the spacers will work from the opel kit but the VW kit is the way to go.
as for the support plate, i think you will be just fine unless you detonate, in that case you'll have a host of other damaged parts that you'll have to worry about before the mains give you problems.
