Hi guys

What a releif to find this forum

Just rebuilt my Lanos 1.6 16V. bored it out 20 thou, used local KS Pistons for the 1.6 Opel Astra Motor. also used a 1.25mm stainless deck plate.

Fabricated stainless steel exhaust manifold
Opel Astra 200TS intercooler
TD04 0.7 Bar boost - Should have been 0.5, but actuator rod was too short once we bent it around the new manifold
Dicktator management system - really good
BMC Filter

anyway - Motor lasted 40km and took out all 4 pistons. Probelm is local KS pistons have a huge slot behind the oil rings, weakens the crown and BANG!!!!! Oil everywhere, motor tuns over but too much oil in the bores for it to start.

Need forged pistons I think, but who makes for the smaller bore Daewoo motors ? 79.5mm bore now.

Ta for any advice
