Wow.... that's amazing that it's been running that long.... these little 1.5L and 1.6L SOHC are great little engines... very hard to kill them.
When I see the word "earth mover" and "diesel" I automatically assume it's a giant turbo from a 12L 8cyl diesel.
What size was the original diesel engine?

2010 BMW 335D
1994 Opel Calibra 4X4 turbo ( C20LET 2.0L Turbo )
2002 Daewoo lanos

i had a question that was related to diesel turbos before... and it turned out that due to CFM of diesel engines they usually have little turbos... with an estimate we can say that the turbo on a petrol engine is double the size of a turbo of a similar diesel engine so in other words a 1.5 SOHC lanos can run great with a turbo that came from a 3.0 diesel engine
i hope my memory serves me right here as this result is what i remember for that discussion.

My car do 12seg 0-60 and is a 1.6sohc no turbo or nitrous are a aspirated engine... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k09Uf6Fz2p0
one cold night i turned it up to 9psi and it went a lot harder. but it gets a dead spot in warmer weather can be annoying to drive so i put it back to 6. for a wile i had it set at 8psi but due to stock ignition timing on hot days it surges at lower to mid rpm but it clears out up top. seen as i dont drive hard all the time i put it back to 6psi for now as it runs smoother. i am going to get a duel stage boost controller soon so i get the best of both worlds
You could get a scramble button, then it would be like NOSboosted wrote:one cold night i turned it up to 9psi and it went a lot harder. but it gets a dead spot in warmer weather can be annoying to drive so i put it back to 6. for a wile i had it set at 8psi but due to stock ignition timing on hot days it surges at lower to mid rpm but it clears out up top. seen as i dont drive hard all the time i put it back to 6psi for now as it runs smoother. i am going to get a duel stage boost controller soon so i get the best of both worlds
