So I've emailed that turbo-kits.com site asking for more info about the injectors..... asked them to send a pic preferably with dimensions.

Also my friend knows someone whos got connections with some fuel systems company, who I will talk to tomorrow. Hopefully he can source some near-bolton injectors.

I hooked up a boost gauge (or should I say ghetto'd up) just cause I'm curious whats actually happening. I was right there was something............ I get up to a WHOPPING 1 lbs of boost!!! I think I've taken boost gauge ghettoness to the next level here...... the vacuum line is running out the top of my hood, around beside my mirror and in thru my window LOL and the wiring for the backlight is hooked up thru the cigarette lighter HAHA.

Talked to the dude at the fuel systems company, he took a look at my car and has an injector that he says will work. I have choices between 32, 37, 38, and 42 lb injectors. I'll call my shop soon and see what they think.

Something strange happened tonight tho.... It was a bit cold out.... about -3 C. Went to start the car and it wouldn't start..... just kept turning over. Sounded like it wanted to start and eventually it did after 5-6 tries. What would cause this ? Could it be from fouled plugs due to it running very rich lately? It never had any trouble starting before the turbo, or after it came out of the shop until now. What factors can cause it to be hard to start in the cold?

Can you show me a pic of them?
Brand? Size 32lb=.......CC? What car did the guy get them from?

Did the injectors fit right away on the fuel rail?

Thanx

32lb ...

i used the RC Engineering Technical Information to calculate the size of injectors i should use for my HP goals

for 200 bhp @ crank, .65 bsfc, 80% of max duty cicle and 43psi of fuel pressure it points

40lb/hr 429cc injectors

Well sad to say no tuning happened yesterday, they spent the whole day trying to track down an electrical problem that was causing the car to run fine for a minute or 2 after startup, then misfire badly. This problem actually developed earlier and I had to have it towed to the shop. By the end of the day they think the problem was a failed diode in the circuit they built. They will replace it and be testing it today.

Shop has fixed the problem this morning.... more failed/broken components some how....

The injectors should go in tonight or tmw morning. Tuning should start either tomorrow afternoon or saturday. Hoping for 180whp, and I think I'll leave it at 7psi for now to be safe.

Hey I can try to get a pic of them when I goto the shop if they haven't already installed them. Can't say where they are from as part of my agreement with the supplier. And Im not 100% sure they will even work....... they aren't direct swap in, they will require some mods. I just hope the shop is able to "make" them work.

The problem has been resolved and 32lb injectors installed. Finally we got to tuning on the dyno.... The top end needs some work as power seems to drop off early, but that may also might be caused by having both stock cats in place lol. They said to come back next week and tell them what needs improvement and they will retune.

rr_kroz : the injectors were already installed when I got there.

The second smooth graph look interesting, a very linear power and torque curves - no sharp boost rise. Probably feels like a bigger displacement engine now. It'd be a totally different car to drive 8)

It'd be interesting to see the curve a little lower in the rev range.

Congrats - solid numbers!!!!

These numbers are at 7psi. I do have video of the dyno, I will post that soon.
