Dont think it's to do with views m8, more of the content. If it's common questions or useful info they usually get stickied. Well thats how it is on most forums. I havent been around here the longest, so i dont know :P

Maybe we should do a section for helpfull or intresting builds?

There's starting to become a good amount of great builds

Given I've got moderator/admin rights the post allows me to make mine sticky.... you guys don't have that option?

Usually I just go into the very first post and edit it.... then click on "sticky" it I didn't make it sticky the first time around.

I was sort of thinking that perhaps we should actually have individual projects in the "member's cars and specs" like most other forums.

If all projects were "sticky" under the aftermarket and high performance area then it would probably take up a good portion of the first page.

To me... the aftermarket and high performance area should be more or less about things like " looking to add nitrous or turbo, is 10.5:1 compression safe? "

If you go to most of the other forums the only place they have build ups are in the members rides section.

What do you guys think?

I think you're right. But if you look at the builds in the aftermarket and high performance, it's not like mine, where i've put in a 2.0 and a different interior and new suspension parts, they're high performance builds, turbo'd ones with lots of questions and a pretty detailed project where pretty much everything they've done to acheive it is told in the thread. So it makes sense in a way, but so do you. I reckon keep one, with the most information, in the aftermarket/high performance section on a turbo biuld to let people have a read through, as it can easily be overlooked in the members cars section with other people posting their ones etc if it isnt updated in a while. Move the rest to the members section?

One idea would be to make a sticky note at the top of the "aftermarket and High performance" area listing all the build ups and some brief information.

There would be a link to the members post in the "member's cars and specs"

The main sticky post could be " High Performance Project Car Links "

The interesting thing is that we could also link cars from other places.... so if you found a really nice build up of a Vauxhall Astra GTE on Migweb it could be thrown onto this sticky note in the aftermarket and high performance area.

When it comes right down to it there are quite a number of very interesting high performance cars in the "member's cars and specs" area ( such as the south african cars ) and they are not mentioned at all in the aftermarket and high performance area.

I've allready started the link and have started moving my cars and projects over to the member's cars and specs.

Anyone can post into the new sticky "high performance project car links" but please follow the directions and keep it short ( since your main post will have all the info allready )

You guys don't have to follow my direction on this.... but I think it will make for a nice simple way to link all the modified cars.

If anyone needs help moving their topic from this area to the member's cars and specs (if you choose to do so) you can ask me or another moderator to move it for you.

I also did some digging to find a few projects in this area of the forum and made them sticky so they are easier to see.

I have to head out so I didn't go through many of the pages... perhaps other mods could dig through and find old projects

since we have the thread to show case the hight perf buildups is it necessary to have them sticky's. if any one wants to see about a certain buildup they can find it easy in the show case buildup theread. the only reason i say this is that too many stickys can make it a PITA to find a thread you are looking for, it kinda sucks having to go through a ton of stickys to see a topic that is new and relevant. dont get me wrong there are some great buildups on here but its gona be easy enough to show case them in the new thread. but thats just my thoughts...

They are sticky's until such time as we can sort out the listing and get everything organized.... after that.... I suppose it doesn't matter
