Good luck, cause the transmission mounts on the other side of the engine.

Just go forged internals/turbo, save yourself, time, money, and countless headaches.

4G63 would be an interesting swap.... but I think your heading for a whole world of trouble.... not to mention a money pit.

Obviously the biggest issue here is the transmission..... since you most likely won't be able to mate up any of the JBODY transmissions.

I have seen some impressive 4G63 engines... but they weren't that reliable.

Honestly..... if your not going to modify the 4G63 you will be simply throwing money out the window since it's probably going to cost you $10K plus to make it work in the J-Body in the first place.

You might as well spend another $5K and get the 4G63 setup so you can run some decent power levels

For the money the easiest route is still a Z20LET with tranny from an Opel.

Which trans came with the Z20LET? Is it the F28? I'm still searching for the easiest option for a tranny swap for the D20.

Ummm... that's a good question... I'm not entirely sure.

The VXR has an "M32" gearbox.... which I'm not familiar with.

For some reason I thought it was typically the F18 but it could also mate to the F25.

Hmmm.... the VXR gearbox might be something to look for.... you could probably get one from a UK autowrecker.
