hi guys
is their a special air filter you got to use for forced induction applications? i mean if a car is turboed then the air sucktion is greater than a N/A car due to the effect of the turbo chrger.
in this case would a regular cone filter handle this extra flow or should you use a big @$$ K&N filter to handle the job or are their special filters made for forced induction applications?
sorry but you all know my knowledge in this field is pretty limited.

+1. Pretty much any pod filter is going to be good enough. Even the cheap ones would flow enough for a little a turbo.Joso wrote:A simple cone filter will do with a tourboed engine unless you are boosting it A LOT.
I suppose the only thing i could think is that if it was TOO restrictive that the turbo would have to work harder (and generate more heat) to suck thru the extra restriction of the air filter.
K&N is best easily, they have so little restriction - they are excellent and worth the money. Plus they are serviceable so you dont need to keep buying new ones.
