Hey Deathwind can you find out anything on that 2.2 aveo on intindators site? I'm looking to install the 2.0 in the Aveo this winter, just wanting to know hat they did to get that in there and running. Thanks

Hi.

Finally we managed to finish Kalos 2.2L
It started with 2.0L but owner changed his mind and swapped the engine from 1.3L to 2.2L.

It's a monster :lol

If dyno pics comes up I'll put it up here.

Also we are selling Kalos' sport package.

Engine: C20SED
Transmission: Close mission with F.G.R. 3.944
Suspension: Intimidator's coilover
Brake: 12" light weight rotor, bigger caliper
Intake, Exhaust: Made by Intimidator

The machine in the picture does not include Intimidator's coilover suspension. And engine is 2.2L

I want to know what was involved in installin the 2.2 into the aveo/ kalos. ECM hook up, mounts, was it just a drop in. pics of the engine bay would be great

Hey Deathwind can you find any info about fitting the engine in. any problems? I;m wanting to put a 2.0 in my aveo this winter, I just want to know what you have to do to get it in, or will the engine fit with no clearnace problems? Please please info would be great

I've heard wiring(ECU and sensors) is hell of a job.

It was difficult to fit in.
Because it was first time to put 2.2L into Aveo.
It's easy now.

But with out know-hows. It's way difficult.

It took 4 months to finish the project.

I'm not sure but clearance is quite ok.

yeah but they used a daewoo 2.2? I'm using a 2.0 from a suzuki forenza which also uses the exact same ecm as the Aveo, the Delphi ECM. The pin location is the same on the wiring harness, so the aveo body harness should plug into the 2.0 ecm ok. I think you guys had a problem overseas using a older 2.2 with the daewoo ecu, and trying to splice that into the newer ecm wiring for your aveo.. I know I will have to relocate the oil filter on the 2.0 for it to fit. But what was the fitmit issues. what clearances do I have to worry about. pictures would be a great help
