If you're not going to exceed 50hp shots, you should be fine with stock internals. Just make sure that your exhaust system is free of restriction (ex. remove resinator, straight through muffler etc).

I would do a 50hp shot of a wet nitrous system (already have exhaust system and a CAI). *I have a Lanos.

Most of this stuff is unneccesary if you plan to run a mild shot of NOS. As Acingteam stated, an excellent choice for NOS for our cars would be a 50HP wet shot. It is safe and would bring your horsepower up to the 180 mark. I don't think you need any more for simple street use. For track use, maybe you're better off with a turbo.

Nubira has more power than a Lanos, read the first post.

so... i have a question about nos...

can you hit it in 3rd gear... then shift to 4th, hit it again, and shift to 5th (and hit it a final time)?

50 to 65 wet shot would be just fine.

The way most NOS systems are designed, is that it can only be activated when the throttle is WOT. It will shut off when you take your foot off the gas, brake, run out of road or out of speed.

I would get a bottle pressure gauge, to ensure the NOS is at proper pressure. May I recommend ZEX wet kit :)
