fuel help for turbo 1.6L

Post by JC »

hi, i would appreciate any help. im currently running 4psi on walbro fuel pump, vortech fmu 6:1, stock injectors , check valves for map sensor, o2 simulator on sensor 2, i know someone with a safc-ll on a 1.6l lanos and i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to get rid of the check engine code for o2 sensor 1(slow response), and will i need an msd ignition retard with the safc-ll? hopefully this will get rid of the fuel probblems. thanks

you should be able to controll timing with the SAFC . It controls the signal for the MAP sensor, which in turn adjusts fuel and timing

safc will not retard the timing.. the only way to retard the timing is with a Ignition control unit or a piggy back unit that has the Timing control fuctions like a greddy emanage

actually no, you can adjust the crank sensor , up or down, and I think the cam sesnor up or down to adjust ignitiong timing. but the s-afc will no adjust timing.
