SAFC, need help deciding which is the best to tune my turbo

to be honest, I don't like split seconds products. i have a customer with Lancer and the Split Second piggy back. it's a simple setup but I think it's limited and a little generic.

for fuel and ignition controllers I only recommend the AEM FIC or Greddy Emanage.

For A/F monitors, i like the AEM UEGO, I have one in m car now and it's great. However, I'm probably going to sell it asap because I want a slightly more expensive/more advanced AFR system. that is the Zeitronix ZT-2, i've been talking a lot about it on here lately because I thin it's a great option for our use and I'm trying to become a vender. both are great and monitor AFR the same but the ZT-2 has an O2 calibrated out put that use to send modified signals to the stock computer.
the AEM is a great option but if the budget affords it, look into the ZT-2 (about $400).

i always dreamed about a small lcd display put me inside the new turbo system i'm going to install so i can follow up everything but in a small screen instead of that damned 3 or 4 circular gauges and not for all what i need to know.

etc.

i liked your suggestion Zeitronix ZT-2 is a great compination

I spent a lot of time on the site getting info and I have to say, the products are interesting. I'm not into round-face gauges and gauge pods all over the place anymore but their OLCD gauges are great. their OBD2 scan/gauge systems are pretty fantastic. I keep a scan tool in my car that runs in live time already but to have it displayed on laptop or tablet would be awesome. I think the best thing they offer is the "Kiwi Bluetooth" and the "Kiwi Wifi" is pretty cool too.

That being said, the OBD2 Bluetooth adapter is all I'd buy from them. I'm not a big fan of their sensor modules, AFR, EGT... their module is ok if you only want to monitor one sensor system. the AFR is $200 and to add modules for Boost ($90), EGT ($126), Oil Pressure ($130), Fluid Temp ($110), AIT ($126) you would be adding $582, $782 all together. and, you you have to add gauges for those, so, you would have up wards of 4-5 DM-5 or DM-6 gauges ($99 each) or maybe one or two DM-100 or DM-200 gauges ($210-$260 each).
again, the products are great but they get pricey since they are separate.

The Zt-2 has AFR, Boost, EGT, Oil Pressure, Fluid Temp and AIT monitors in the one module. I like the idea of having one module instead of five or six strung about the car.

I do like the DM-100 and DM-200 gauges and if I did want round-face guages I would go with those for sure (if the budget allowed).

my plan is you use the ZT-2 and display ona tablet. I might be interested in adding the Kiwi Bluetooth for scan tool function as well. then again, we just started using the Tactrix bluetooth and Torque gauges in my brothers Mitsu Lancer OZ so we'll see how that company is.

Zeitronix zt-2 like nothing else, i read a lot from their website, but i didn't notice anything about the bluetooth adapter allowing you to connect it remotely to a tablet!

can you explain for us please?

Zeitronix doesn't offer it, PLX and a few others. I was just considereing using the ZT-2 as primary dattalogging and gauge discplay with a separate company for Bluetooth scan tool functions, for clearing codes and such.

seams the flange will take very long time and i will not be able to wait for it, ship the e-manage and then we can find out a what to do with the flange and we can ship it alone.

if you don't mind i have a couple of questions:

1st in the IGNITION JUMPER SETTINGS (inside e-manage unit) page 2 of the papers you sent to me and mentioned here you wrote the following note:
JP1 Ignition pullup / pulldown select:
2-3 - A resistor is pulled up to the +VE rail

where to put this resistor and what is it's value?

JP2 Ignition output select:
2-3 - Output resistor connected to +12V

where to put this resistor and what is it's value?

2nd Knock Sensor connection

in the table i cannot see a pin# in the e-manage side

if i have a Knock sensor which i'm not sure of, i will check my engine and my ECU, as far as i understood i will cut the ECU wire A2 and pull emanage between!!

i think i don't have a knock sensor check below the air intake between injector 2 & 3:



will it be better to get one, install it and connect it to ecu? if i did how will i connect it to the e-manage!!!

the 1.5 SOHC engine doesn't have a knock sensor

i did engine swap so now i'm 1.6L DOHC

in this case it will be at the back side of the engine block... it is very near to the starter
