i found this on OMP site as well as their standard upper strut bar:

i also found pics for this bar but the website was in Russian:

concerning your idea:

isn't the bar too far from the control arms?... i mean the main area of movement is at the control arms so that's where it should be located... right?

also did you bolt it to an existing part or did you have to fabricate a mounting area to put it?

I have used 2 holes already there. As you have bolted your plate... What is that plate for?

That strut bar you have, should be bolted before arms, not after... I think...

i have nothing on my car...all those pics are from the internet

i recon the plate is some kind of a guard for driving in gravel or so

in your case you used those holes... right?
Image

in you mean by "before the arms" is to put the bar here... right?
Image

now their are two questions that needs an answer:

is your bar (considering its location) will be as effective as a bar holding the control arms as shown in the pics of the car with the plate?

is their any difference between the installation before and after the arms?... i recon the only reason is the fact that this setup (after the arms) will allow the straight bar to clear the tranny's sump... and probably this is why the OMP bar is bent as shown in the pic... but this will add a risk of bottoming down more often

Yes, you gut the point... But where ever it is, it would mean a difference...

Also that guard if stif, is almost as effective as sway bar, maybe even more efective... That guard gave me a new idea... :D

My lanos did the same thing with the same size tire upgrade. I found after a few thousand miles that the rear tires were wearing signifigantly more on the inside edges. that was my problem with oversteer...i also noticed the tires "following" the grooves in the road.
