In Car Track Video

Post by exist3nce »

Heres a track video from 2009 that I never posted until now... 14.5 @ 100mph, although I had issues with a bad ground on the AVCR which kept making it reset throughout the entire run, thus not allowing me to fully utilize my proper ramped boost curve.

Video:

Heres an older track video from 2007

Thanks, yes it was some sort of cobra..... very quick off the line. I don't know what time he ran, but I'm sure it was at least in the 12's. If I can find the timeslip from that night I will let you know.

I also made some custom center caps by modifying and then clear coating some steel conduit endcaps lol

Return Fuel System Conversion

Post by exist3nce »

I have decided to convert to a return type fuel system to have complete control over the fuel pressure to be able to run higher boost pressures. This will ensure that the injectors will continue to spray properly atomized. It is also one piece that is required for the future plans :)

very interesting to read! What happend next?

btw - I think your oil catch tank isn't right. I think the intake sucks the oil from the oil pan.

What happened next? Well I'm still driving it to this day. No new major mods as of the moment. I have a new clutch waiting to go in, so I can turn up the boost a bit more, but theres been no time really to do that. So I've been happy driving it as is at about 260whp.

Funny you should mention that about the oil catch can, I just took a look at the pics that I had posted about that over 2 years ago. The oil did end up backing up in the drain and into the catch can. We modified it to remove the drain tube altogether and just put a manual mini valve tap for the drain now. No more problems since that.

Just wanted to say hi and that I'm still around and the car is still running strong!! Still daily driven and boosting :D I'm back on a ceramic 4 puck clutch from Garrett, and its driving nicely... Been really busy lately with work and other unexpected life situations... Still have further plans but I'm not sure exactly when its going to happen, don't want to mention stuff too early and then not deliver haha.
