Re: Nubaroo new personal best - 400M @ 12.2 secs!!!
Thanks guys. That evening we went to The Rock raceway...and I managed to snap my daewoo sideshaft running on my semi-slicks
Fortunately not the gearbox or clutch broken - popped out to Frans from TDM performance today. He has a workshop at The Rock and he was kind enough to let the daewoo stay over from Sunday. He also let me use his tools and lift to fit the Opel Astra Coupe sideshaft that I bought earlier but were too lazy ti fit in the daewoo This is a split shaft setup and it fits like it was designed for my car I launched it SEVERAL times today at The Rock without anything going wrong The split shaft setup DEFINITALLY reduces Torque steer, and helps even out power distribution to the wheels as all 4 x times I ran the car off the line it left 2 X BLACK stripes till the beginning of 3rd gear Sooooo once again roll on next Sunday
Also trying to organise that I can run there with my slicks just to make the runs between my car and the rear and 4 wheel drive cars a bit more even
Here is a pic of the Daewoo stock shaft the after 360 000KM`s could not cope anymore RIP!!!!

For sure with all that you could get 125mph and with some good 60' like 1.8 for sure you run 11 seconds

Re: Nubaroo new personal best - 400M @ 12.2 secs!!!
We are running on an airfield that gets loaned to us one Sunday per month....so the traction is not the greatest. On this airfield track my best ever 60ft time was 2.0 secs running my Mickey Tompson full drag slicks so yes I am eager to run on a proper prepared racetrack with my car Will keep you guys posted on further developments.Nubira2.2 wrote:For sure with all that you could get 125mph and with some good 60' like 1.8 for sure you run 11 seconds
PS - ran at the airfield again today but only managed a 12.403 second pass as my slicks are now finished.....now to buy new ones again - flippen expensive
