I have recently installed a Type R custom gear knob, and obviously with the pull-up reverse system I have alot of spring and gear shift rod exposed- so I have been looking everywhere for a short shifter- a kit or a replacement, or even just good instructions on a mod.
So I have come across this short shift- described as:
Vauxhall Vectra 'Short Shift' Gear Stick with wooden gear knob ~Astra F18 F25
Will fit anything with a F18 or F25 gearbox (Vectra's, Calibra's etc).
this looks identical, and should fit , right ? I assume i will just rip the crappy wooden knob off and replace it, then bolt it straight in with the original pin ?
Does anyone have any links to a short shift kit, or short shifter, or have one for sale ? or have any idea what I can subsutitute from other makes ?
it appears alot of gear from Holden(Vauxhall) Astra is bolt on direct replacement-worthy. if someone could point me in the right direction I would be stoked.
