How to: Remove your fuel rail and injectors

Post by MMamdouh »

1- Relive the fuel pressure from the system, refer to this article:
http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2678
2- Remove all four injector?s sockets. Don?t lose the fastening pins.
3- Remove the feed fuel line either from the fuel rail or from the fuel filter whichever is easier.
4- Remove the fuel return line from the fuel pressure regulator.
5- Remove the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator.
6- Remove the crank case breather if you have a 1.6 DOHC.
7- Remove the two 12mm bolts holding the fuel rail to the intake.
8- Lift the fuel rail up to free the injectors? tips from the intake ports.
9- Remove the clips that hold the injectors on the fuel rail? pull to one side.
10- Pull off the injectors from the fuel rail. Don?t lose the rubber ring on the top.

NOTE: If you have a 1.5 SOHC with an EGR valve then you might be forced to remove the injectors from the fuel rail right after you free the injector?s tips from the intake ?cause you won?t be able to maneuver the fuel rail around with the injectors on unless you remove too many components around.
