- Remove the entire grill insert from the front of the car.
-Use a screwdriver to separate the grill from the chromed plastic ring around the out side of the grill.
- Use a jig saw or other cutting tool to remove the plastic slats from the grill.
- Sand the rough spots left from the cutting.
- Now use the chromed plastic ring to trace a pattern in your new grill covering. A variety of materials can be used to cover the openings. It is best to use something strong to keep stuff out of your radiator, but with plenty of ventilation for the engine. Be creative!
- Now cut your chosen material to fit the holes in the ring.
- Make holes in the material to correspond with the holes for the the screws you took out earlier.
- Now use a screwdriver secure the back of the grill (with your new grill material between the two pieces) back into the outer ring the same way
you took it off.
- Reinstall on your car and enjoy.
