We all need to get some head

Sorry to hear about your problems.... it was definitly due with 50K on the belt.

I also heard the new Aveo is allready having early timing belt problems..... you'd think with all the new technology they could make a decent belt to last 100,000+ miles!

i amctually really suprised that no-one has been using stainless belts yet for timing belt applications. they are being used now in CVT's in fords and toyotas (in the transmissions). i guess no one has thought to apply it yet

The new Lanos I got has a Gates belt on it. It looks to be in good condition, but I am taking no chances! New timing belt every 45,000 miles!
