Leganza dash assembly/disassembly diagrams

Post by TheGreatAndPowerfulOz »

Does anyone have, or can get a copy of the Leganza dash diagrams?
I want to be able to change the factory tweeters that are mounted in the dash, but I'm not quite sure where to start out to get the job done with minimal effort and frustration ... and bleeding knuckles! LOL

Thanks!!!

the tweaters pop out with a screw driver and have the same plugs as the other speakers.

So they just snap down into the dash and a small flat screwdriver is all that is needed?

The paint is no problem. Just use steel wool to buff it down and re spray it with enamel gloss black. Good as new!

Thanks ... I'll have a good look at them and figure out how to remove them.
For some reson, I thought they had nuts holding them on from the underside of the dash ... like a car I worked on once before a few years ago.

Actually, the Daewoos are very well built.
According to the shop that does my paint & body work, they said the Leganzas are much higher quility materials than Hondas and Toyotas. Steve, the bodywork guy said they are almost on par with Mercedes for build quality.

I've never taken a Honda or Toyota apart to compare, but who am I to argue with some who works on them freequently?

it depends what mean by on par, cause my dad has a ML320 and in its short life its had all the airbag sensors replaced, computer remapped and now the fuel gauge doesnt work. ML series mercedeses are made in the USA though...

I should have been more clear.
By on par, I meant the body materials used, such as more bolts holding on the bumper bars, better quality thicker steel, more anti-vibration foam ... stuff like that. I meant it from what the guy in the bodyshop said.

I've not tried yet. I just got the car back from the garage where it was getting the A/C fixed.

I'll try some time this week. :)
