F/S: Reno/forenza/lacetti/optra wilwood big brake kit

Post by kinkyllama »

11" slotted/drilled rotors (rotors in the kit will not have the black
coating)
4 piston aluminum calipers
performance brake pads (Wilwood pads unless otherwise stated)
aluminum mounting brackets with hardware
front braided steel brake lines

Price $---
This kit requires 15" or larger wheels.

Or a larger 11.75" or 12.2" 2 piece rotor kit for $900.

The 11.75" kit can use a 15" wheel while the 12.2" can use a 15" wheel only if they have lots of spoke clearance. A 16" or larger is probably a better solution. This is what I was told, I'd be very carfull with fitting them. My 16x7 rotas don't clear the 12.2" kit, I had to add 5mm spacers...though if it came with that offset or was just 7.5" wide it would fit easy.

I can get kits for any other daewoo as well...but if I dont know anyone locally with it you'll have to be the first one to try it out and it could take along time.

Willwood allready makes a kit for the Astra MKII which is identical to the Lanos.... if you inquire tell them the lanos brakes are identical to a 1990 Vauxhall Astra MKII or 1990 Opel Kadette E..... they should be able to get you a set.... and I'd be interested in them for my Lemans Turbo... the brembo brakes are ok.... just a little on the small side for the kind of power I'm planning on putting down.

I'm deffinitly in for a set of 12.2" brakes for my Optra5.... Willwood makes great stuff.... probably way lighter than stock.... which reduces the rotational mass of the wheel..... so it's just like going from heavy rims to light racing rims.... a must for anyone that has serious power under the hood.

I have 18" Centerline Rotary Forged rims.... so I need some big ass brakes so they don't look so bad.... the rims are really light.... so I'm probably going to have less rotational mass once the brakes are converted over.

Please keep me informed about rear brakes if a kit becomes available.... that would be sweet to have 4 pot aluminum calipers and big rotors all around.

Yeah its really light, like I already told you I'll weight it if someone buys another kit...but I know its lighter. Overall the car felt faster with them but it had been a couple days since I last drove it as well.

Yeah, I can't stand big wheels with stock brakes, I think it looks horrible now. I want a wilwood kit for the rear now but I'd like to get the turbo setup first before I spend more money else where. I could get one to you before I do but you'd have to do alot of trial and error so I dont think it'd be worth it for you.

No but I could probably get them for the aveo. I do know a couple people locally that might be willing to work with me to get one made as well.
