2.2 ecotec short block for sale

Post by gse_turbo »

i am trying to get the motor that i was building into a race sanction but they don't allow stroked motors so i'm back to the beginning.

i have to sell everything to buy my new motor.

if anyone is interested please let me know. i may also be interested in just selling everything minus the pistons if that will sell better.

i'd like $1900 from that.

garrett

...you can compltely swap this block for the stock 2.0 with NO mods. this would be perfect for someone wanting to build a turbo motor.

garrett
everything has been balanced and blue-printed for efficiency and no vibration.

the pistons were build to stand 40lbs of boost (planned on running 20lbs)
• fully machined 2.2 iron eco block

• 2.2 crank knife-edged, cryo-treated and balanced

• 2.2 eco rods adapted for floating pins, cryo-treated and balanced

• NEW Wiseco forged pistons 8.5:1 CR, cryo-treated and balanced

• NEW ARP main studs

• NEW Cleavite77 rod bearings

• NEW main bearings (from Opel)

how hard would it be to swap it into a lanos? I've got one that's not running currently  That motor could make it pretty killer.

You'd need a lot of stuff... not to mention mount fabrication for that front one

Thanks. Is it the same process as the 2.0 sunbird swap?

Yeah, thing is this is just a shortblock... you'd need a head, manifolds, wiring, etc...

tell you what, make it an even $2000+shipping (about $200) and i will add in the front motor mount bracket and a header flange to have a turbo header made from.
this way, being as you have a 2.0 you can just take all of your parts off and put them on this block.
