i didn't realize you swaped a non tach cluster... i got one question for you:

did the tach equippted cluster require any extra wiring for the tach signal or did it work right away??

and if it did require more wiring please advice what did you do to get it to work.

thanks

From my experiments in working with the cluster and the position of the tach signal wires in the cluster plugs... I would give you a 95% certaintly dropping a tach cluster in your woo would mean immediate results without changing the wirings. :)

What I wanted was the rings on the cluster in his sig. I have yet to find an adaquate solution for those beyond having them custom made by a metal shop.

Hi daewoomofo,

I was thinking about scanning the original guages in 300dpi and putting them on my website for all to see (like my tachometer ones)

The white guages without tacho were bought from www.daewootech.net

I made the other ones myself as they were not available.

Yep i will ship to ths USA Slammed, but please note that i may not be able to track the item (if it gets lost it isnt my fault).

I was expecting a harsh wireing job when i bought the tachometer but i just plugged it in and it worked (we have yet to find out why it works straight away in some lanos's and not in others).

I will have some free time soon so will play about with some guage designs, feel free to give me some ideas.

I think you need to find a large number of people together who would want to buy them JohnnyC. They cant be that hard to make surely - just need someone with the tools\machines.

The company in Germany that i bought them from only made a few as there was a lack of interest (i was very lucky that i got mine).

I won the guage with tachometer on eBay UK.

There is another one on there at the moment :

(i dont know how readily available these are in the US?)

yeah thats the problem... i am afraid to get one with tach and realize that i got to do shit load of wiring as i hate electrical stuff.

a used cluster with tach sells for about 275LE arround here... thats some 48.25USD.

It really isn't that hard to patch in even if you have to. The green wire that goes in behind the right side of the cluster is the tach signal. My guess is that is has to do with the year it was made.

And if you could please scan the cluster w/o tach at 300dpi and provide measurements of the plates (such as 100mm across) or whatever it happens to be, that would be very useful to a number of us. I have some gauge faceplate designs, yet I can't really do them yet because I need measurements and a good scan of the MPH gauge that goes to 130.

If someone is willing to get 300dpi scans of the MPH 0-130 cluster plates, I will be more then happy to provide a custom design for whoever does it. :)

Yeah thats what i was expecting to have to do.

Lucky for you i was bored earlier and scanned them in.

Ive edited the originals into white dials.

Blue Numbers:

Red Numbers:

http://www.ukstudentlaptops.com/matt/ca ... 300dpi.jpg

Green Numbers:

and here are my original white guages again for the tachometer model:

....my bandwidth is going to suffer for this...oh well.

You can work out the exact sizes of the dials in a image editing program as the images are 300dpi - turn on the rulers.

They need to be printed at 300dpi for them to be the right size (this is because standard 72dpi has poor resolution when printed)

Have Fun!
