Looking for some help with my new 2001 Leganza

Post by placilla »

I just bought a 2001 leganza from and individual that was told by the Daewoo dealer that he needed a new engine. The vehicle is making a nocking noise, but I don't think it's the engine. A few days later the engine light came on and the oil light would turn on and off, the engine and oil light are off now. I had the engine light checked and it gave me an error code P0325, knock sensor. I took the vehicle to my mechanic, but his not familiar with Daewoos, and he checked the vehicle out. He could not find the source of the knocking noise, but he stated that it's not coming from the engine. The vehicle is drivable and I have noticed that the noise deminishes at higher speeds, 60 plus MPH.

The guy that I bougth the vehicle from told me that the vehicle was running fine until he took it to the dealer to have the power steering leak fixed. I can tell that some hoses and tubes are new. He said that when he picked the vehicle up, he noticed the noise and when he question the dealer they stated that the engine was going to have to be replace.

Has anyone experience this? Can anyone give me some ideas on what to look for?

Thanks
Javier

I wonder if anyone bled the air out of the power steering system ?
It's a closed system. Anytime its opened, hose, pump replacment etc.
It needs to be bled. Can make a lot of noise pumping air.
