as far as if the code is a bad one i would think it is since its not warming up. but then again its better than it getting too hot.

and you can either go to daewoo service provider and get one or just go to a chevy dealer and have them order you one for an Aveo. both engines are very similar and then again very different. but the thermostat from the aveo is the same.

and for your question on how long you can drive does the temp guage go up half way or is it showing that its at a low temp? i don't know the answer to your question but i'm sure whoever does will be able to give a better answer with that info.

oh and just incase you didn't know on daewoo's the thermostat and thermostat housing is all one piece.

The temp looks normal, the needle is just below the middle marker. I used a OBD2 computer to get the code, thanx autozone. Free use with a deposit!

I'll buy a new thermostat this week!

if your guage says its fine then maybe its a faulty sensor or something. but yeah just replace the thermostat anyways b/c they due need to be changed frequently. actually i say if the code goes away after the new one then keep it on there. if it still throws the code then put the old one back on and keep the new one in the trunk as a spare along with a 10mm socket wrench so when your old one does go out then you can just swap them out and put some water in it until you can get some more coolant.
