Optra (U20SED) Injector Specs

Post by exist3nce »

Forgive me if this has been posted before, but i need to know the specs on the stock Optra/Forenza (U20SED) injectors. I tried the search, but came up with a million unrelated things. Also checked the service manual posted on here, but its not in there. I'm guessing they're ~200-something CCs, but I need to know for sure. thanks!!

What? Why would nobody know the true specs? Someone must know, it can't be that hard to find :?

I wish I had a quick answer..... to be honest.... I'm going to be using turbo injectors..... so I never paid attension to the factory injector sizing.

I think Tom ( GsiTurbo ) knows the stock flow levels.... can't remember.

I seem to remember a site which allowed you to key in the part number and it spit out the application data and specifications.

Wish I knew where I put it.... sometimes I misplace things..... several hundred links on three different computers makes it hell sometimes..... but I will see if I can find it.

Hmmm.... nothing yet.... but this is an intersting site.... http://www.robietherobot.com/storm/fuel ... rguide.htm

Do you know the part number for the U20SED injectors???

Here is a possible link..... http://www.caspeed.com/multec-injectors.html

http://ppd.delphi.com/pdf/ppd/pwrtrn/ga ... c_mpfi.pdf

http://www.racetronix.com/Manuals/Injec ... c2_inj.pdf

Still can't find it..... will keep digging around

Thanks for the insight Chris, I actually called the dealer yesterday to ask them. Got transferred to the parts dept. They could tell me how much they cost, but were clueless as to the flow rates lol. I wrote the part # down at work, so I will post that here for you tomorrow.

Talked to Tom this evening and this is what he says (hope he doesn't mind me posting it to share):

I wasnt able to get this info myself, but based on the following:
- fuel pressure in T20SED and U20SED is same (43psi)
- both motors make pretty much same power/torque
- both motors are mechanically identical

I am making assumption that U20SED injectors are very similar to T20SED, which are 21lbs/hr = 220cc

Thanks again for the info Tom.

U20SED injector part # according to the dealer: 96334808

A quick google leads me to some russian sites I can't understand lol. At least I can see they're selling injectors, so the part number must be on the right track.

I have a feeling that part number 96334808 is a GM part number....... not a Delphi part number

For conversion use this formula......

CC X .0937 = LBS

So.... it looks like the Daewoo injectors were 19lbs..... so that's the same as 203CC injectors

If they were in fact 21lbs instead that would be 224CC injectors

So... from the link...

25313185 = 12ohm & 245CC @ 3 bar = 23lbs @ 44psi
25176061 = 12.1 ohm & 368CC @ 3bar = 34.5lbs @44psi
25322180 = 12 ohm & 200CC @ 3 bar = 19lbs @44psi
25323972 = 11.8ohm & 200CC @3 bar = 19lbs @ 44psi
25323971 = 11.8ohm & 200CC @3 bar = 19lbs @44psi

I would say that the U20SED injectors look like 25313185, 25323972, 25323971 and given that the last two are 19lbs it's likely these are the ones in the U20SED.

I think that 25313185 might be a good replacement for those who want about 20% more fuel.... hard to say for sure.

Ok..... if we go to http://go.delphi.com/ ........ hmmmm the link doesn't work.... I was on there a couple of days ago.... their server must be down

Hey Chris, thanks for doing all that research, really useful info. Would these VXR injectors work/fit into the U20SED?
