This conversion should take me all of about a week including front and rear brake exchange - incl. booster and master cyl. ( legal reasons )
Engine Harness and Ecu Swap out
Motor Mounting ( I am trying to keep the Aircon / Power steer )

Its about time my car stopped lagging of the line... lets get up and move.

This is car is going to be used for a company/promotional vehicle

other things i am going to do during the exchange.
* hide as much wiring as possible
* relocate battery
* weld up divider between main engine bay and cold air intake pipe.

This exchange will be legal according to QLD modification laws. check with your local authorities before doing it too ... NOTHING WORSE THAN GETTING YOUR CAR WRITTEN OFF THE ROAD.

CLINT

I think that is what we are all about - helping out our loyal Daewoo community 8)

We need a "2L into a Lanos" How To guide in a "blow by blow" style. It's something we are desperately missing... I'd try and sway you to turbo the 1.5L SOHC but we really need that guide!

Good luck with the swap. She should go really well. We're all here to help you out if you hit any brick walls or need to bounce ideas.

BTW - you desperately need some rims before an engine swap  :smt023

Rims for DoofWoo

Post by DOOFWOO »

Yeah i know i need rims ... but low funds cancel out the need for shiny rims lol. i'd rather the car look like a try hard car modifier. i might even get rid of the front bar to back the sleeper look. shiny rims come after better motor ..

of course ... i would accept any donations in regards to my lack of rims hahahahahaha

very nice project and by all means share every bit of work you do.

i am intrested in the brakes swap as well so keep that documented as well... it is wise to learn how to land before you learn how to fly.
