back of the engin below the intake manifold and above the righthand side drive shaft :? ..
yea nice and easy to get at (sarcasim)

The car is real hard to start in the mornings now. It cranks and cranks, takes several times to start. The mechanic said the starter has a bad spot in it.

if it cranks at usual speed then this could be something else... mine takes long cranking to start due to leaky injectors so make sure whats wrong with your car before starting to spend money.

Make sure you are getting fire to the cylinders, that can cause that. It also could be the coil or anything else ingnition wise, check and make sure the wires are tightly connected to the starter, so that it gets the "Ummph" that it needs.
