I wanted to know which motor code is the same as the T18SED or U20SED.

isn't that question a bit vage?? i mean codes are made to differenciate between different engines so if two codes are the same then it is the same engine... right?
if you are seeking a cross reference project or so then i suggest you learn how those codes are formed so you can tell which parts on a given engine is like yours and which parts aren't.

U = ULEV emissions
18= 1.8L
20= 2.0L
22= 2.2L
S=compression ratio ( 9.6:1 )
E = Multiport fuel injection
D = Daewoo
T20SED and U20SED nearly identical.... just have different engine management. ( Delco vs Delphi )
Technically Delco is Delphi.... it's just that GM only gave Delphi ( which was a GM company originally) until 2004 to use the name Delco.
So pre 2004 = Delco .... post 2004 = Delphi ....... both made by the same company.... Delphi ( which is now having troubles and nearly bankrupt )

chris said it best. also the T20/T22SED are made to fit the nudi and leganza, they have a motor mount in the front of the block spacific to these chasis. the U22SE came in the 98 Honda Passport and the 98-01 Rodeos and Amigos. the SUV's are 4x4 so there are sount to either side.
all of the 2.0's, 2.2' and 2.4's writin about in the forum are the same block with differences being in what they'er assembled with.
example: if you have a T20SED you can put C20LET uprated connecting rods. as far as the internals. you'll need to find someone thats built both the C20LET and the T20SED.
