Sump plug washer

Post by Turtle_Wax »

I bought a new sump plug and washer ready for my Lanos oil change. The washer is flat on one side and has a slight dome shape on the other side. Does it matter which way round the washer fits. Dome shape facing the sump or facing the plug? Thanks

no idea but if you look at it from a logical point of view then the washer/seal ring on the spark plug is almost the same shape as you discribed.

the slight dome part is facing the engine head on the spark plug so i recon the dome part will face the oil pan in your case.
