oil catch can

I have a friend who is selling an oil catch can, but i dont really know wat it dose or how it works. Can someone tell me? Also do you think i should buy it? Its only 50 bucks and its Greddy.

Mayby it's for engine in bad condition which throw oil trough crankcase breather to the inlet?

Hello,

Just discovered this forum. Oil catch can is a very useful thing. You will save your injectors from the oil vapours. On my Lanos 1,5 I used actually an air filter and insert it in the middle of rubber hose as you can see from the following pics. You can not imagine what quantity of oily sludge and water I found after 1700km, app. 1000 miles. Definetly a good thing.
