It's a 2000 Leganza, 2.2, automatic, 51,000 miles, question is after installing timing belt,... where is the tensioner supposed to be pointing? Past new? right at new?? When tightening by hand.. it goes past "new".. do you leave it like that.. or do you intall belt, start motor.. and wherever it stops.. let that be your guide?
I noticed on other posts.. people talking about "adjusting the water pump". We installed the new one in the identical position that the old one was at. Is that good enough? Is there something more to this? We are sending our daughter off to Arizona when all the repairs are done.. and we need it to be good to go.
Any and all help appreciated... thanks in advance

the water pump is the tensioner. From what i understand the torque settings are stamped on the block. USE A TORQUE WRENCH. I had mine inproperly torqued by a mechanic and 6000km later i had 4 bent valves
330w carbon kevlar
