yeah, just take the brush guards and stuff off of the bottom and then take and loosen the belt tensioner, and when u do you might need to take a hammer and tap it. then fit the belt onthe bigger pullys first, then the tensoiner, then pull the tenisoner, snug, enough to keepp it from wiggling off. adn vila, (just look at the manual too, if u want)

Mine is a '00 Nubira 1.6 DOHC. Replacing serpentine belt is easy to do from the top. Just need a long arm 5/8" (14mm) ring wrench. I think I'm lucky with that when I compare to other make.

I think the 1.6 lanos has its own a/c pulley, since it is an add on to the original setup with the serpetine, but u are replacing the a/c belt only, right, zerosilence. if u are u just have to take off the bottom plastic panel and the edge of the bumper and wheel well guard, you have no way of accessing it throught the top. You just see the compressor and part of the belt.

And i think u need a 10,13,14 mm sockets as i recall.

** but remember that you need to not just jack it up with a jack, drive it up on ramps for easy and safe access, i don't want to see anybody be decapitated from changing a belt, ok

and you can probably get to it from the passenger side, but it would b tricky.

Heres my post of it, but I also got a short belt btw.: http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=
