actually what i would do is to keep the origional intake hose and just extend it with the PCV, that way you wouldnt have to deal with making the first piece that connects to the throttle body, it would be alot easier

CAI for Nubira II, 1.6L DOHC ?

Post by dinoc »

Hi guys,

I'm thinking to build or buy (not sure if there are any) a CAI for my Nubira 1.6L 16v DOHC (Nubira II) .
Can you please sugest me what kind of conic filter should I buy (for instant K&N or other good brands) for this engine ?
Also, what dimeaters should I use for the pipes ?

Thanks

actually I am in the process of making one out of pvc, but like mofo said the throttle body inlet is larger than the pipe, I will take a picture of my cheap sri when my girlfriend gets home, you could even modify on that.

Yes, I was just looking on weapn-r's web page ... but my concern is : do the 2.0L DOHC Nubira and 1.6L DOHC Nubira, use the same CAI or SRI setup (filter, pipes diameters ...) ? - what is good for 2.0L engine is it good for the 1.6L, too ?

post a pic of a 1.6l engine bay and I will tell you if the 2.0 and 1.6l are the same.

the 2.0 have a top mount throttle body and the 1.6 gave a side mount throttle body, so no the two are not the same, sorry
