The 2.0L SOHC and 2.0L DOHC are both 86mm X 86mm not 86.5mm X 86.5mm

Furthermore.... the 1.8, 2.0, 2.2 are the same family with interchangeable internals and are not compatible with the 1.6L and 1.5L

You are stuck with the 1.6L which belongs to the same family as your 1.5L

Unfortunatly this means there is no way to "stroke" your 1.5L since the only difference is in bore... all crankshafts have the same stroke.

If you want 1.8L I'm affraid you will have to install the bigger block... in which case the 2.4L engine is the largest.

Yes.... I did say 2.4L ( C24SE --> 2.4L SOHC )..... it's offered in the Isuzu DMax trucks... bore is 87.5mm stroke is 100mm

Your best bet is to bore out the 1.5L to 79mm to make it into a 1.6L and then either add a turbo or install high compression pistons ( 11.5:1 )

Personally.... I like the turbo option better.... but that's me

2000 DOHC 86.0 86.0 9.5
2200 DOHC 86.5 94.6 9.6
2400 SOHC 87.5 100.0

well... i don't want to go into the hussle of boring my engine as work shops that does that here are not so good, most probably they will f**k up my engine.

this is basicly why i wanted to see my stroaking options to illiminate any need for machining my engine and have the option to turn it back to stock whenever i want... again this is not an option now.

i guess now i have one of three options and i have arranged them from easy to hard to do:

1- swap in a 1.6 DOHC
2- turbo my current 1.5 SOHC
3- swap a 1.6 DOHC and turbo it.
