Oops... Quick question about oxygen sensor...

Post by JohnnyC »

I did a little modification to my air intake and forgot to hook the Oxygen sensor back up to the air intake... my wife has the car, out of curiosity, what effect would that have on my woo?

(My wife still has the car with her right now... I just realized I didn't hook it back up)

as long as the wire is connected it'll be fine. won't run super efficient, but fine

oxygen sensor in CAI??? i am sure Jonny and Audacity are wrong here on something... i am sure you mean the intake air temp. not the O2 sensor.

if the sensor was unplugged then the CEL with turn on but that won't affect the performance much.

its just going to run on factory programed settings called closed loop. and it stops using the sensors all together

i was not getting in a tizzy at all... i just thought a newby might read this post someday and get the wrong idea about the O2 sensor location and all so i though a hint will keep things in the right direction that all.

I always forget to reconnect the air intke sensor plug as its out of sight on the underside of the inlet pipe. I then panic when the CEL comes on then realize my stupidity.

I didn't forget to do it, but my intake where the hole is allows for the IAT to sit nice and snug... is butchered to hell so i had to tape my sensor in =/ I need to just get a new sensor and make a new intake for myself...
a woo that is a work in progress
