Tuned ECU

Post by Maximus »

Today I have visited a guy who is making ?tuned? ECUs. He made a few Lanos engines before and told me that he can add about 10 HP and 30 Nm to my 113 KM and 160 Nm (now I have more ? new header). All that for 300 $ do you think it?s a good idea ?

The guy who will be doing this new chip for me told me that it is very hard to remowe ore move REV higher, I will have 1000 higher than stock that will be 7500 Rpm.

I'm a little bit afraid of my self... You know what I mean

rpm 7500 will be more then enough for my lanos. now it cuts on 6500.
my ecu comes with two bunchs of wires. is it the same that you have?

I heard that u can cut one wire ( i don't know the coulor of it) and it will remove the rpm limit.

Yeah, and the chip it self is inside and it is veeery small

daewooluvr - I think that we can have the same ECUs, I know that there are three types of them in Lanos 1.6 16V

Lanos 1.6 has three types of ECU
- CKDP
- CRWD
- YAAE

I have CRWD and it is the best ecu too tune up, it is easy to get ~10 HP and 15 Nm of torque out of it

The ECU is sittuated in a black box under the passanger seat. And on the aluminium box (ECU) you have the nuber of it

In most cases, the exisiting program is flashed using an ALDL connector (sometimes ultaviolet has to be used), then reprogrammed via the serial port, on on the chip burner.
