Will a 8V intake manifold fit on a 16V cylinder head????
Just a quick question for you guys. Do you know if the 1.8/2.0L 8V intake manifold assembly will fit on a T20/22SED cylinder head? I was looking at the leganza intake that I have, and I am not sure that the intake will fit with my hood on my sunbird seeing as how the throttle body is on the top of the intake and is facing upwards. I think that if I use the leganza intake, there won't be enough room between the TB and the hood to run the intake tubing. I don't have any spare 8V intakes lying around to compare the compatibility. Anyone know? Thanks for your time, Paul Moore

The Leganza manifold did fit under the hood of Grand Am, which originally had the C20GET. I dont see why it should not fit the Sunbird.
And the 8V intake manifold will not fit the 16V head without custom flange (on the 8V ports are round, on 16V oval).

thats correct... i have checked that myself and almost all 8 valve manifolds are rounded and 16 valves are oval, it is related to the port in the head which depends on the no. of valves that let the air in and exhaust out so exhaust manifolds are not swappable as well.360 Dynamics wrote:And the 8V intake manifold will not fit the 16V head without custom flange (on the 8V ports are round, on 16V oval).
