Exhaust almost done

Well I bought my magnaflow muffler and tip. Now I have to cut a flange for the bottom of the cat so I can put a better bend on the bottom. Going 2.25" all the way from the cat back. Has anyone else removed the very restricted bend at the bottom of the cat (aveo) 1st cat (lanos)? It really bottle necks there. I figure with a magnaflow tube muffler and a glass pack I should be a lot quieter.

u mean the flexpipe

i think he means the section after the mid exhaust box and near the rear suspension member... the area where the exhaust pipe goes from the center of the car to the left side and then into the rear muffler.

Actully the part right in front of the 2nd O2 that hooks to the cat. the pic is a Lanos. but on the Aveo it actully gets relly small before you get to the flexpipe
