How to put ECU in cold engine mode?

How to put ECU on 1.6 16V lanos in "cold engine" mode, when ECU is injecting a lot more fuel.

I have this problem with more air, but to little fuel. I have put BMC CDA for 2.0, and now there is a leak of fuel...

no idea but you can use a chocochip...maybe.

i don't recommend tampering with the temp. sensors as that might trigger the cooling fans and if that happens you WILL have a cold engine and that is not good.

As mmamdouh said, you may want to use a "Chocolate Chip" from daewootech.net
Someone on this forum may have one for sale, or Chris on daewootech.net may have one for sale if you contact him.

The Chocolate Chip is a specific resistance device that is plugged into the Air Intake Sensor wire on your car. This fools the ECU into thinking the air is much colder than it actually is, and makes the ECU dump a lot more fuel into the engine.

I have one and have seen a performance gain, but also it uses a lot more fuel, so it can be expensive to use.

I have bought that thing on ebay, and it have something about 1.5ohm, which is to low, and engine lights "check engine" bulb...

You will NOT find chocolate chip on eBay. It is specifically designed for a Lanos and is only sold on daewootech.net

That thing is simple resistor. It costs about 0.01$...

That chocolatesomething noting but a simple resistor. I asume, it is around 4k ohm. But I would like to know for sure what is Cris selling, because I don't want to pay another 20$ for something a have at home in my lab!

That thing is a simple resistor, but Chris actually did some calculations and the chip is tuned to work properly on a Lanos. Where as, universal chip that my friend got from eBay was pure crap, next day his exhaust was back firing and the timing was off, and it smelled like crap and felt like it was about to stall every second.... we took the chip out and the problems immediately dissapeared. Chocolate chip, however, is nice and is not universal.

it may be tuned for the woo, but it's still just two resistors.

if i still had mine, i'd hook it to my multi-meter and find out the ohms for you, sorry i don't have it anymore

I'm working on something better. Piggyback for lanos.

It will fool ECU only when you put "pedal to the metal", so it wouldn't spent more fuel in normal driving...

So, if anybody can send me right resistore value of chocolate chip, I would try even this version. But, for me, fooling ECU will be done over coolant temperature... CTS! Not over MAT...

BTW, this piggyback already have features like "shift light", "klimatronic" for shuting down klima when you put pedal to the metal for about 15sec, and other stuff. This will be new feature...

The Lanos already has a function that disengages the Compressor Clutch at WOT (pedal to the floor) to gain extra power. It is usually only on expensive cars but the Lanos already has expensive options.

Thats what it says in my manual anyway.

yeah i noticed that too... the compressor disengages when you push the engine hard then when you ease off you can hear the compressor's clutch "clicks" and engages back again... it might be a little car but it is an intelligent one.
