Intake (whats Better)

Post by python235 »

Ok i have a cone filter and i want tobring some cold air to the engine
whats better
- to make a pipe that goes all the way down to the front bumper and put the cone there
OR
- keep the cone in place near the engine and bring cold air to it ??

in my opinion dont let the air pipe be soo long so that the air wont take longer time to enter the engine and that will cause also negative pressure in the pipe..."so the engine will get less air which will cause loss of power "....

I would let it where it is and make some vents into the fender!

i would extend the pipe and put the filter in the fender and use heat scheild on the pipe to prevent engen bay heat from heating the pipe.

ram air is still the best as oppossed to cold-air intake if you can get cold air to it... make a hole in the hood. Pehn has a lanos in his signature that has one. the puogeot 206 has something similar as well. it's worth looking into!
