D15 intake and fuel rail

Post by Audacity Racing »

i'm going tomorrow to pick up the intake and fuel rail from a D16 honda motor so that we can finally get the truth on the fitment. we all know the exhaust fits... i'll be able to tell if the rail fits within a few hours. the manifold may be a few days.

i'll keep everyone posted

I HAVE GOOD NEWS!

I JUST SAVED A BUNCH OF MONEY BY SWITCHING TO GEICO!

and...

the fuel rail seems to fit. the injectors are all in the same spot, but the mounting brackets will take some serious fabrication... but i'm up for the challenge...

That is pretty good news!

Is the fabrication worth it if it is just a fuel rail? I mean, no giant power gains can be had from a fuel rail if we use our stock injectors?

fab really wouldn't be too bad i don't think. the injectors would need to be upgraded anyway cause the whole point is power. it's also an easy way to add a fuel pressure gauge and such (instead of that shrader valve thing for diagnostics). i ordered an AEM rail from ride revolution so we'll see the diff if any. it sure will look nicer though.
