I was just wondering if anyone has done the individual throttle body trumpet intake on a lanos before?
What sensors need to be hooked up to make this work? I know when running multiple tb's you only put the sensor/s on the throttle body that has the throttle cable connected to it and the rest are connected by throttle linkages. with short trumpets i recon the lanos would get a nice increase of low end torque.
Only issue i can think of being a problem is not really having a plenum chamber.
With the lanos 1.5 ECU are these programmable or do you need a piggy back or totally new ECU?

There are quad throttlebody kits allready in existance for the 1.6L and 1.5L but they are far from cheap.
I can't remember where I found the kit but I will let you know if I come across it again.
We had an Aveo on the dyno and for the heck of it we fooled around with the variable geometery intake.
When the short pathway is enabled for the entire run there is a loss of torque and horsepower all the way up to about 4800 RPM.... I think on average it was a loss of between 3hp to 5hp
Then we enabled the long pathway for the entire run it makes the normal amount of power up to about 5000RPM and then it drops off very heavily.
Basicly at redline it was making about 25hp less power.
To get to my point.... a quad trumpet intake might end up loosing three to five horsepower in the low end and make two or three at the top end.

hi has anyone have a pic of a lanos with a throttle body kit i want to see what it looks like thanks

Check these sites out. They sell performance parts for Vauxhalls, including throttle bodies and other assorted stuff:

well im guessing the idea of quad throts would most likely not be that great. So just regarding my other question about the ecu. is the 1.5 sohc lanos ecu programmable at all or does it need a piggy back?
Also what are the most common used piggy back or complete seperate ecu people are using on a lanos? Also keeping in mind it needs enough aux ports for turbo setup later on down the track.

There are a few companies doing ECU work but I think they were really expensive.... I personally would drop in a piggyback system or a standalone system.
I don't know if WooHoo has finished installing his system yet (not sure if it's a piggyback or standalone) but you could allways talk to him.
