Post by hockeychink21 »

whats up? i'm new to this whole new car mod thing and i have a '00 daewoo leganza. i was wondering where i can get a cold air intake for my car. i've searched a lot of web sites and can't find any. another thing is that i want to get a racing exhaust system for it and was wondering where i could get that done. any help on locations and pricing is greatly appreciated. thanks. :P

Get a universal muffler for your car (around $80), then go to an exhaust shop. Have them replace the stock muffler with your new one, and have them remove the resinator (2nd muffler and replace it with a straight pipe). The labor shoudn't be over $120. So for $200 you'll have a racing exhaust system of your choice (cause you're picking the muffler).

Nah... even better, get a muffler of your choice, go to a muffler shop and tell them to replace the piping from the cat-back and use the muffler you have... that'll gain more performance. You have a 2.2 so 2.25inch piping should work well. If you want even 2.5 but i dont think it'd make a difference over 2.25

the cost shouldn't be too bad. i paid like $180 for my flowmaster cat-back exhaust. i did get a deal though since i knew the manager. it should've coast me about $225. so i guess if you buy a univeral muffler for like say just $50 from ebay the piping and labor should be any where from $100-$125 would be about how much they would charge. not too bad.

When i had my exhaust done from the cat-back it costs 180$ including muffler and warranty before i had the whole exhaust done i had a shop replace the resanotor and new muffler and it cost $90+$80 for the muffler. So it was about the same price
