man I wish I could afford another new car. I like the Reno.
If I had one I would develop a CAI for it.

Yes.... I have an Optra 5 ( Canadian version of Reno )

I helped Tom@360 Dynamics build and test a cold air intake last year.

Here are the links...

Dyno results

I don't think he's gone into production with the parts....perhaps there wasn't enough demand at that time.

Now that the Reno is finally selling in the USA I'm sure the requests for an intake will get to a point where it's worth while for him to have the components manufactured. ( the Optra 5 started selling in Canada nearly a year ago..... you guys had to wait for some unknown reason )

Given I'm still running the intake I'm sure he could measure it up and make one for you..... you should PM him with your inquiry.

I have an Optra 5 as well.
I look at the Suzuki Reno, which is the same car in US. I have looked at the CAI that it has on the Concept Car Reno Intruder and I want it.
However I cannot find the right piece # in K&N Engeeniering. so if someone knows which one it is? will be much appreaciated.

Take it easy all...

That intake is just a concept.. K&N doesnt actually have any.

Click the banner "360 dyanmics" above and they have a CAI for your car

Its also just a concept, many people have contacted K&N and they dont ever plan to make them. There is no SRI available anywhere.. but 360dynamics has a CAI

well you could slap a K&N filter on just about any custom made sri or cai but thing is the pipe itself is the custom made part, and K&N probably doesn't make an upgraded stock replacement filter for the car yet.

I know the filter is for sure K&N and in fact I know the part # for the cone. What I dont know is that part # for the pipe.
If the pipe is not by K&N, why is tag as it. on the pict.?

when you buy parts from high end manufactures, they send you stickers with their product. K&N sends stickers in their boxes... my guess, is it's just a sticker.

the other reason for thinking that is that K&N intakes have a HUGE logo on them... not a tiny one like that.

Ok, guys...the stickers dont work on that way..if you go to the K&N Site, sometimes are huge or times are very tiny..
Here the problem comes..I think I found the intake now I need some help to see if they are the same or not..
Since I'm at work doing nothing I decided to look over all the Typhoons K&N Offers..
Tell me what you think about the 2 pics below are those the same pipes and cones?

They are the same pipe
