Today when I was measuring up the engine fit in my Lanos against a Pontiac Lemans we measured the distance between the struts to be exactly the same.
This other fellow with the Lemans had a strut bar but I really didn't ask him about it.
I will ask him where he got his from as it should work on our cars.

All a strut bar does it brace the top of the strut towers to help provide more stability in cornering.
Who ever told you the bar increases HP and torque was either lieing to you or did not have a clue.
i have a strut bar on the eclipse, it does help when speeding/turing, before i had it, 120 was scarry, very bumpy, then i put it on and made it smoother

That's funny, I when I put the strut bar on my eclipse, it made it stiffer not smoother. And I could feel every little bump on the road.FoRk wrote:i have a strut bar on the eclipse, it does help when speeding/turing, before i had it, 120 was scarry, very bumpy, then i put it on and made it smoother
And if anyone needs an eclipse strut bar for cheap, I'm selling one that came off my eclipse. It's a Matrix brand, and when it was installed, it made a world of difference when cornering. Letting it go for $25 + shipping. PM me if interested or if you need pics.
