Getting more horses...! :)

Post by poont »

Hi!

First of all, thank god for this forum. I've searched everywhere. =)
In my country there isnt so many Lanos on the road... maybe 50?
My question is, how do i get some more power from the engine without blowing a huge hole in my wallet.... ? :) Turbo is out of the question and so is swapping engine because the sucky goverment in this country are so damn restrictive about tuning...

Best regards! / Pontus / sweden
Cars that i currently posess: Daewoo lanos 1.5l SE, 16" Enzo. More mods to come. Beach Buggy -66 1600VW 90bhp.

Nitrous Oxcide System.

Zex, Holley ("NOS"), and Nitrous Express make nice semi-universal systems.

Ok... =) What system do you recommend? and will the org pistons/rings/gaskets deal with the increase in hp?

/Regards

You can keep your original internals if you're not going to exceed 50hp shots. I've heard someone do 75hp shots on stock internals, but that's risky.

Hmm ... 50hp kick sounds great... is there any company that makes forged pistons, cranks for the Lanos?

Hehe thats a long time! =).. I picked up two words that were VERY useful to know, those were: La Shoukran (excuse the spelling) =). Ill be comig more to Egypt, want to see those pyramids... were only at Luxor and the valleyofkings... and some tempels.. Since it's cheaper to travel to egypt than for example Spain i will see those woos again...

Lol just what i said, thank god this place exists, haha was begining to think there was nothing about lanos's on the net till i came across this forum :D

Welcome

Also a nice mod for a lanos that shouldnt cost any more than $15 - $30 is pod air filter

Remove the stock air box, place the pod on the intake manifold and your off, instantly makes the engine more responsive, and sounds great :D
_____________
1999 Daewoo Lanos SX
1.6Ltr 16valve
Pod Filter (A must for every lanos)
