1.6l Engine Swap Lanos -> Nubira?

First:
Sorry if this topic was already here, but the search function didn't show too much about the 1.6l engine...

Is it possible to swap the 1.6l engine from a european Lanos (1998) with automatic transmission to a european Nubira (1.6l, 2001, manual transmission) ?

Because here in germany I get no engine for my broken nubira engine for a reasonable price, but I found a cheap lanos from an accident...
